Three Little Pigs

I know you have heard the famous story of the wolf and the three little pigs. But you probably have never heard it with such passion as this comedian will tell it. Watch the video (he will probably use words you might not have heard before) and give me your thoughts and how this relates to our Bible class in at least 50 words...due by Sunday 11/3 by midnight

  1. so he started of and talked about how back i the day Shakespeare had a working vocabulary of 54 thousand words, and we in the united states have 3 thousand words, and how that is why when we read a Shakespeare book we don't comprehend it as easy as reading a book from today's library. then he went on with his own version of the three little pigs, and the more he went in it and at the end it was funny, and it was really nice hearing his version of the three little pigs.

  2. When the comedian started off he spoke about how back in the olden days when Shakespeare was alive his vocabulary was a lot stronger than ours is. Then he hit the point of how when people read Shakespeare we don't understand most of the words he use. Then he did his own version of the three little pigs which was too funny. This relates to are bible class because we have some people that use large words that people don't understand but in all reality we are saying the same thing but in a different way.

  3. The magnificent example of Shakespeare's enlarged vocabulary compared to the current American vocabulary was remarkably accurate and considerable. Today's ridiculous generation is incredibly hopeless in the amazingly miniscule vocabulary we currently produce. However in reality we all are expressing our English language to one another in the identical manner without realizing it. In other words some people are stupid and some people are smart.

ALSO TO ALL U.S HISTORY CLASSMATES do we have a quiz on Tuesday? I forgot

  4. The man in the video was, at first, talking about how Shakespeare's vocabulary was a lot bigger than the american vocabulary now. Then he told the story of the three little pigs, but he told it in Shakespearian form. I think that this relates to the bible and contemporary issues because christians may tell stories and say things about the bible, but they may not know exactly what it means. If we are going to tall other people about the bible we should have support and evidence.

  5. In the video, the man was talking about the speech and vocabulary of the Shakespearean Era had forty five thousand words and the american vocabulary only had three thousands words. He told the story about the three little pigs, Shakespearean style. At the end of the story, the first pig asked the third pig, "What caused this destruction" and the third pig replied, "It's american made." There are many translations of the bible, old and new, but they all mean the same exact message. Just because, the dialect of language is different doesn't mean it's talking about two separate things.

  6. In the beginning of this video the man was using a different vocabulary than what we are accustomed to today (Shakespear) he than told the story of the three little pigs in that vocabulary , it might of sounded different than what we are use to but in the end it was still the same story. just like how the Bible has different translations of stories but in the end they are all the same and have the same meaning.

  7. At the beginning of the video he just shows how important vocabulary was back in the time of Shakespeare. It was amazing how they used there language in so many different ways that people wouldn't comprehend today.God has blessed us with the ability to learn and further our education.I believe we should learn how to use it to further our learning about him also.

  8. In the beginning the man told us how different the language was back in Shakespeare's time. It shows how much our language has changed. Some people claim they are Christians and tell Bible stories but don't really know what they mean. If a Christian is going to try to teach the Bible they should actually believe and understand what they are saying.

  9. At the beginning of the video the speaker was talking about the reason we don’t understand Shakespeare plays is because his vocabulary had fifty-four thousands words were as American has about three thousand words. In the KJV version of the bible it has old English in it, we need to learn to look up the words we don’t understand just like we do with Shakespeare plays.

  10. In the beginning of the video the man talked about how the many words were Shakespeare had in his vocabulary compared to us now. It really shows how different the vocabulary has changed over the centuries. Well today you have different versions of the Bible like KJV and NIV. King James Version is always alittle hard to understand because they usually use words that were popular at the time of Jesus lived. Mostly we use NIV because its a easy read they use words we know its on our level. As people we should try to expand our vocabulary because if we want to share Gods word we should have some kind of insight.

  11. This video is highly clever and extremely hilarious. I originally found no correlations to our bible class but after much thought I found some similarities. The three little pigs is common fairy tale that everyone heard as young children yet it has been down from generations from different perspectives. The same applies with our Biblical understanding. Biblical truth has been passed to us through different cultures who interpreted theses truth a certain way. In a sense by acquiring a higher level of vocabulary we can put Biblical truths in terms that other cultures can understand.

  12. He started off by telling us that shakepearre had a vocabulary of 54,000 words and today we only have a vocabulary of 3,000 words. Then he began to tell us the three little pigs story in a way that maybe shakespeare would have, with alot of things we dont understand. Just like with Bible how there are many things that we do not understand.

  13. This video was spot on about how different our generations vocabulary is then it was back in the day. Our society as a whole is a bit slower than it used to be and that's why we can never make decisions as fast.

We tend to think too /hard/ over simple things that just need a yes or no answer and yeah, thinking outside of the box is all fine and dandy but there's no need to overthink the question: what's your favourite colour?

Bringing up the three little pigs story in how people back in the olden days would have read it was actually quite clever just because it's showing us how much we don't understand, no matter how hard we think about it. Just like things in our world, there's a ton of things that are yet to be discovered yet they're right in front of our face. We just have to /see./

  14. I was confused a little bit after I heard the 54,000 words of shake sphere I thought it had no meaning to it but I soon realized that we tend to think that simple things are the most important. We all Anwser yeah or it's to hard we over think things as humans~ Julian fitts

  15. His performance in the "Old English" of the story was actually quite humorous in comparison to how we tell the same story in our modern language. It also displays how differently people spoke back then and how we take how they talked back then with our modern language.

  17. I understood about half of what the first and second pig said. But it was still funny and amazing that he was actually able to do that. I thought it was amazing how Shake Spear had a vocabulary of 54,000 words, and the average American has the vocabulary of 3,000 words
