This may seem like a totally unrelated video to our Bible class, but a biblical worldview exhorts us to be good stewards of God's resources, including being sensitive to our environmental impact. According to the linked video, we use billions of paper towels each day; many of them unnecessarily. What if we could reduce our usage by just one paper towel per person per day? Our video host shows us how:
How to use a paper towel
Remember, all of our actions should be governed by our beliefs and convictions, even something as mundane as how to dry our hands. Give me your thoughts in at least 50 words. Due Sunday 10/13
My thoughts on the video was it was nice how the man was trying to save paper towels, because it is true we use a lot of paper towels just in one day, so how many could we total up together in a year. Is way of saving was shake 12 times, because he likes the number 12, and fold the paper towel before using it to make it thicker i guess. It's is own idea, and it works for people, and other people have their own idea that works for them, that is why it is called our own beliefs. The video was okay!
ReplyDeleteIf we could all use one paper towel per person per day, we could reduce the number of trees that get cut down with in a year. When God made Adam, He gave Adam dominion over the earth to name and take care of the plants and animals. Now, in modern times, it appears that we have not been doing a good job of being stewards of God's resources and creations. I like the idea of shake and fold concept, because it's simple and easy to remember. If we take care of our planet, it will take care of us.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cool that this Joe guy was teaching people how to try and save paper towels. With the way our economy is right now, a lot of people would probably take this video to heart because who wouldn't want to save their dimes and nickels. The shake and fold method would be effective for those who are more hand on and couldn't really grasp what Joe was trying to say. Of course, there will be some people in that audience or at home who viewed this video who will leave and not have really learned and seen anything to persuade their point of view. (or their belief.)
ReplyDeleteOverall, this video was alright. Nothing too fancy.
I thought this video was good because it can help people save the resources that we have been given and it can help save money. The man in the video was very convincing because he used his method on many different types of paper towels. He also made the "shake and fold" method very memorable. I liked how he had an explanation to shaking his hands 12 times. Overall, this video was ok.
ReplyDeleteThis video was useful because the man gave a way to save our recourses. He made it easy to remember because he had the audience say shake and fold a couple times. He also did the shake and fold method a couple of times, so people would remember it. This video was interesting.
ReplyDeleteThis video was good with giving us an example on how to save the paper towels. However, it honestly doesn't bother me how many paper towels are "wasted" because they're just paper, they aren't living and honestly if they vanished from the earth I could care less. I'm still going to grab 2 or 3 paper towels while in the bathroom out of habit and won't think twice on just grabbing one to save more of them.
ReplyDeleteThis video show explained how the overuse of paper towels can be reduced to just one paper towel per person a day. In my opinion this technique was quite similar to feeding of the five thousand with just a five loaves of bread and two pieces of fish. Though not as miraculous as the feeding of the five thousand, the procedure used in this video is a solution to the overproduction of natural resources.
ReplyDeleteThis video is showing us how if we reduced our paper towel usage to one a day, how much we overuse them and how if we use one it could use the shake and fold method to dry our hands instead of using more than we neeed and it is very useful.
ReplyDeleteI thought this video was very beneficial he was showing how to reduce the usage of paper towels in our daily routine in life. It made me realize how much we really do use paper towels so that was kinda interesting. so yes this was a good video and very teachable.
ReplyDeleteI think it is cool how he was teaching people to save paper towels. I did not realize that we use that much paper towels. I like how he shook his hand 12 times then folded the paper towel in half. It also helps me realize how we can become better stewards of the things god has given to us.
ReplyDeleteI think was very helpful and it is nice that he is telling people how we can help the environment. Using Paper Towels is such a everyday process of life and if we can limit that use we could probably save so much paper. This video was actually very educational teaching people how we can save energy and paper. I liked the video and think a lot more people should watch this video
ReplyDeleteI think it is cool how he cares about are planet. I use paper towels every day and don't think twice about how careless I am with them. I think that every one should watch this video at least once. It also show how we take thinks that god gives us to the extreme .
ReplyDeleteI think if we take this and apply it to our lives we will greatly prosper. If everyone cares about our planet and wants to save our resources we will do this. The method is really great with a great purpose.
ReplyDeleteOur religion tells us that we need to be good stewards for our planet in its care and management. Now in the video he showed us how much we can reduce our paper and this would help us be better stewards for our planet as well.
ReplyDeletein Genesis 2:15 It says " Then the Lord took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it." The way that I see this is that God put us on this earth to take care of his other creations both plant and animal. By saving 230,000 pound of paper towel each year that is o way we could help do as God intended us to do.
